Day By Day
Ryan Hughes and Carol Paige sat in the booth at McDonalds talking. They had been best of friends since high school. They’d been through everything together. They ignored Sierra Montgomery when she entered.
“I better get going,” Carol sighed, “My mother is being a bitch lately.”
“Yea she has seemed kinda off lately,” Ryan smiled faintly “Maybe she needs to get laid.”
“Ewwww that’s gross, I don’t want to think of her doing anything like that.”
“Maybe we should find her someone.” They both laughed again.

Kevin Berry and Savannah Silver walked through the mall.
“I hope I get a glimpse of him.” Kevin squealed.
“Geez,” Savannah groaned. “I hope Ryan Hughes is worth it.”
“Of course he is,” Kevin giggled “Is there really any question?”
“We are not in high school anymore.” Savannah sighed.
“Like I haven’t done my fair share of stalking for you.” Kevin smiled at her.
“How many times have I gone to McDonalds to stalk Tony Clark?”
“We shared a kiss at homecoming, senior year.”

Tracy Montgomery sat at her desk. She had taken control of her ex husbands first electronics business. She had won the company in the divorce settlement along with a sizable chunk of change. Smiling she was enjoying the success she had been experiencing. She had successfully branched the company out. Now she was sitting on an even bigger fortune and the envy of her ex. Thankfully he had left town and was getting married to some 20 year old bimbo. He would never bother her again. Sighing, she called her daughter Sierra.
“Darling, how was you first day of class?”

Amy and Tony Clark sat in the waiting room of Montague Community College. They were twins, and were enrolling for the new semester.
“How are you going to pay for school?” Tony asked.
“I’m going to have to get a job, and take out student loans.” Amy replied. “Unlike you.”
“I cant help it I got all the brains in the family.”
“Shut up jerk.”

Ellen Clark sat in the living room, watching her youngest daughter, Debbie, play. She had chosen to be a stay at home mother, a decision she debated frequently. At times it was the greatest decision she had ever made, and other times, like now, she felt as if she had made the biggest mistake ever.
Its not that she didn’t love her children, and valued spending time with them, it was that she felt she had given up everything, that all she was good for was being a mother. That wasn’t a lesson she wanted to pass down to her daughters.

Sierra Jones waited for Sean Morgan. Sean was her on/off again boyfriend. They had their ups and downs but Sierra was certain they were soul mates and she was going to make sure that Sean knew that after a summer away, doing God knows what. Sean had left after they graduated to go to Florida with his grandmother. The problem in Sierras eyes, was that he left, then called her after 3 days and broke up with her. She was determined to correct that.

Derrick Woods had arrived at the airport. He looked around for his father but didn’t see him. He must have sent a driver he thought and looked for one of the regular drivers, again he didn’t see one. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed his dads number. The phone rang without being picked up. Damn he thought I may have to get a taxi. After the summer he had he knew that nothing would ever be the same in his life.

“We’re getting married!” Sandy Carpenter squealed.
“Yea we are babe!” Sean smiled at her enthusiasm
“I cant wait, we should go to Vegas and elope!”
“Maybe we should” Sean got serious. He knew that once Sierra found out, she would stop at nothing to get him back and in reality he wanted nothing to do with her. He had broken up with her for the final time. He didn’t want to deal with the drama that went along with being with Sierra Montgomery.
“Whats wrong baby?” Sandy asked noticing the shift in his mood.
“Thinking about my ex. Maybe we should go back to Florida.”
“Im not scared of her, and your life is back in Montague.”

Rose and Ray Harland sat at the kitchen table.
“Mom, I’m sick of you running a business out of our house.” Ray complained.
“I’m helping sick people get better.” Rose defended. “All those homosexuals are being cured because of me.”
“Do you believe that mother?” Ray asked.
“With all my heart,” She answered “Plus all the pretty girls hit on you.”
“Mom, its the boys that are hitting on me.”
“Maybe you should live on campus if you’re uncomfortable.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Both smiled.
